Spending time with family is essential. No matter how busy we are we need to take time out to just be with family members.

My family are all adult except for my one great-grandson who I see a lot of since I have moved south. This little boy will turn 2 years of age on 4th of April and I want to spend as much time with him a possible. It is important for him to feel loved by each member of his family, and I'm sure he certainly does because he looks to each one of us for a kiss and a cuddle and to play games with him.

Adel, I know your children love you and that you love them dearly in return. Don't punish yourself for what you believe to be a lack of time with them. Children understand, and yours will continue to love you because you have a warm heart, and you are a loving mother.

I was lucky. I grew up with parents at home most of the time. My Dad was medically retired and we lived in the bush in Alaska. We didn't have much money but I didn't even know that at the time. I only knew about days of the week as a child based on which days the mail plane came with mail and any food Mom and Dad may have ordered and treats like library books that I got every month. When I was older mail days meant that is when my home school assignments needed to be sent out and I got the old ones back with teacher's comments. Other than that, the days of the week did not matter because neither of my parents worked regular jobs! They had sold their lodge and got payments from that and other property they rented in other places and we lived off much of our own work. We caught salmon and smoked them and grew much of our food in huge gardens. To me seasons and times of day mattered more than the day of the week. It was logging season or planting season or harvesting season. It was hot in summer so we could swim or snowy in winter so we could ski and run the dog team.

I don't have kids yet and I am terrified of how I would be able to raise them in good conscience with both myself and my husband working full time. I couldn't give them half the experiences I had growing up.

I hope I can make this work so I can work from home and have the freedom to live anywhere and raise kids with parents at home!

Hopefully this is the start of a great new chapter for you.

I worked a lot when my children were growing up, but now I'm able to spend quality time with my grandson. I told my two (adult) kids that I'm a generation too late but they said all they remember are the good times we did have together.
Love always wins no matter which way you slice it.

My family all got together for breakfast on Easter Sunday. We don't have any little ones who want to hunt easter eggs any more, so make the most of just hanging out. All my grandkids are 12 and older now. I miss those days. Make the most of every second.

Quality time with Family is so important. As a grandfather, I always make special time to either have one on one lunch dates or text each one to see how their doing. I even include Facebook time using quotes or photos with great sayings with tag line " Thinking of you awesome Granddaughter/ Grandson "

Glad you are here, Adel, and working for the life you picture for you and your family. Keep being that positive, patient, and persistent person! And, thanks for sharing a little of your day. I wish I had more of those days, but my children are grown now. Nice memories. =)
