It's My Second Year In Wealthy Affiliate!
Yeah, you heard it right! It's my second year here in Wealthy Affiliate. Years pass by so quickly but it feels like my progress is still taking slowly. It has been four months since I last posted here. I have been busy sorting out many things that I need to make a leave of absence here and attend to some important work and family matter.
Now, that everything has been sorted, I think it's time for me to come back and take action to accomplish things that needed some work in my website. I haven't posted for quite a while now which is the reason why conversions remain small and does not progress.
The first year has been tough with so much learning to do in the Online Business Certification Training. I have learned a lot in creating my own niche website. I thanked Kyle, Carson, Jay and the rest of the WA community who has helped me a lot to be able to build a website that would help every family who has an autistic child. It was a website based on my own experience of living with an autistic child. I was able to reach and help as many people online and offline through my website. These are through subscription e-mails, social media ( Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Linked-in), guest postings, memberships, schools, family and friend's support and of course YOU, my WA family. It has received 581 shares in social media with a total of 300 comments, 25 posts and 13 pages so far. I became an affiliate member of two affiliate marketing sites in which one is a niche site.
Despite of all the marketing strategies that I have mentioned previously, conversions remained small because of my own shortcomings and not enough personal discipline. I did not post for quite a while now, I only have one product review to date, I don't do much long keywords that could add conversions and most importantly, I don't post more than 1,000 words that often.
My second year is more or less the same as my first year except that I was able to get backlinks from a well-known authority sites and became one of the contributor to one of them. Through my website, I was able to run mini-workshops for parents of autistic children in the school of my daughter and also got the opportunity to get a free advertisement in my son's newsletter at school.
These are all the things that had happened since I built my website. Little successes that I always celebrate because for me It's not all about making money that's important but the opportunity to help others and make a difference in their lives and earning that joy and fulfilment as a reward.

Hi Adel,
Welcome back to the Community and congratulations on your 2nd year!.
Yes, it really is a joy in helping someone. I usually do this through encouragement comments as I am not yet very technical in Affiliate Marketing matters, but I am learning and I will be a lot better of a helper in more areas in the future.
Thanks for your sharing.

Hi Adel,
First off, congratulations on making your second year here at WA. You are absolutely right about he fact that it’s not only about the money. It’s also about helping others with their problems. The more you help, the more the money will come. Thank you for sharing your experience.
