Next Step: Content Indexed on Google
I love surprises and over the past two days, I've had two linked to Wealthy Affiliate (WA). As you would've noticed from my previous blog posted this week, my website was indexed on Monday evening, then today I received an email saying that my content has been indexed through Google.
To be honest, I don't even know what half this stuff means; as I receive email notifications about aspects of the web I'm not yet clued up on, I proceed to spend the next few hours delving into search engines to figure out the exact meaning of it all...
It's been one of the strangest experiences, getting excited about something simply because it sounds like I should be, especially when the email notification uses words such as "amazing", "awesome news", and the like -- so, it must be good news right? Therefore I should be delighted, right? So, I am, but then I pause and think to myself "this is great, but what does it actually mean", and then I'm off delving into the underworld of information to figure out why I should be thrilled -- feels rather odd :)
I'm wondering if some of my fellow newbies here have had similar experiences. It would be cool to share the bizarre nature of it all so that I know I am not alone or worse, simply going mad.
Here's to getting excited because you should even if you don't know why!
