An Honest Confession

Hello. I greet you from the one of the review rooms of Wealthy Affiliate (my laptop). As a new person looking at Wealthy Affiliate I want to give you my first impressions as I have studied the business and its potentials and maybe we will see what is all of the hubbub that makes this company a “Go To” spot for blossoming business owners. Is it worth your time?

I needed a second income. At the beginning of my quest I looked into similar online marketing training program and thought, “Hey, this looks favorable. I’d like to become part of this promising company. Their affiliates are making money.” I started going through the program and found out that it was going to take money that I couldn’t spare from my tight budget. “Maybe some other day,” I told the kind gentleman on the phone… And then I started looking for another alternative. I knew I need to have a second income and needed a program that was friendly. I had a little training in using computers and thought maybe this second income is something I could do at home. It seemed at first glance like a wise move.

That’s my greeting to you….. Are you in the same boat as me and need a second income. Have you heard of Wealthy Affiliate before reading this post? I found Wealthy Affiliate online. Well actually, I found someone else who was disgruntled about the high up front cost of the other online marketing company. The other company seemed successful to me but I didn’t have the extra cash. I wasn’t going to borrow, beg or steal. You aren’t either, I know.

Is Wealthy Affiliate a Online Marketing Business?

Yes, it is but it is more than just a business. This company was started by a couple of young men who found out the hard way what works and what doesn’t in online marketing. They have their own businesses and have found success. I also found out that they are happy to share their knowledge with those who need it. Yes, they are making money. They have families too but they also invest a lot of their own time and energies helping others who also need to move higher up the food chain. That is admirable! Imagine a Gold Rush miner finding gold in
“Them there mountains!” and told you where exactly he found it and added, “Go get some for yourself!” You may currently be an employee but wouldn’t you like to be the employer of a thriving business? Me too! So I investigated further and found out more about this company.

Like I said, Wealthy Affiliate is not only a company which is prospering in and of itself it is a training community. Now you may not like to go to your neighbor or some proud know it all and confess, “I don’t know how to do a particular project.” You feel embarrassed confessing that and then in the same breath you are trying to quietly make a plea for help. This is a community of happy willing helpers. I like that.

Now, let’s look at some of the particulars of this business/training company.

The Positives and the Negatives: Which are greater? positives or negatives??

Positives……..

I was impressed with the Online Training through the Get Starting Program. I am not a wiz at the computer but after I signed up, I noted that Kyle took me through every step. It was easy.
We all don’t learn a new topic the same way.Some need to see to learn, others listening and still others reading. Lessons, Videos, Tutorials and online classrooms are in abundance. I need all of the above. LOL!
An Online Community full of members in every stage of the training which are available to support you in your advancement and training. I found out the supporters are there just waiting for your question, it seems to me. That is great!! So if you are up at 2am working someone will most likely be there took!
A 24/7 Marketing Informational Chat room online to answer your questions as you go through the program and beyond.Many of the folk in the chat room have already found success. I love to read their stories. It makes me feel, “I can do this too!”
Two free websites of your own to help you start or continue your business. Maybe you have an idea already of your own that you want to develop. Wealthy Affiliate will help you develop it. If you are like me and don’t have a ready idea to promote Wealthy Affiliate invites you to become one of their affiliates. As I advance I am seeing niches that I could expand and pursue my own interests.
A strict spam free environment. This is awesome. How many of you like SPAM? Me neither.

Negatives…….(BIG FROWNY FACE!)

There has to be negatives to almost everything right? Perfection occurs very rarely. One can always find something wrong with something. If you are looking for imperfection you will find it. So I started looking. Here are my opinions….

My first negative is….. Not enough time in my day to devote to a full time job and start a business. So if you are at home, I mean living with Dad and Mom still, maybe this would be good for you. If not, plunge into the courses. Keep your priorities straight. Do what you can.
Learning: It’s a slow process. Lesson after lesson. Be patient with yourself. Take a deep breath, go for a walk, drink a cup of coffee then start the next lesson. LOL!
No you won’t be raking in the bucks during the first week. That is unrealistic. If you are determined and stick to this program, I believe you will get what you put into it.
You need a laptop, wifi, and desire. (Public Library has computers for use free.)
I called this article, “My First Impression”, for a reason. I can tell that, so far, I am very pleased with the process. I have learned so much and I really enjoy the experience! I have read many success stories.I am willing to learn and I believe Wealthy Affiliate will get me to my desired goal.

I would say that the positives outweigh the negatives. This company has so many positives with it. The winning testimonies on line have convinced me to give it a try. Look them up for yourself. In my estimation the reviews for Wealthy Affiliate far out weight the reviews against it.

With Wealthy Affiliate we will be attending lively training periods, question and answers sessions, classroom which focus on specific needs, videos on business training, tutor availability and tasks to improve our knowledge and know how.

Wealthy Affiliate wants us to succeed so they have put together a winning training course designed with us in mind to support our interest in gaining a second family income and for me to save for retirement, etc.

Tools Overview

Word Press- Wealthy Affiliate has helped me to build my first website. I am so excited about the possibilities. They use the Word Press application. From there I began to build and learn productive ways to write new pages to add to my website. Using the Keyword search on the Wealthy Affiliate I was able more people than I could through word of mouth. You will too! This will help you to reach A LOT of people to look at your website. The more people, the more potential sales. Website building/Hosting applications are ready and available for your use.If you can make a sandwich you can make a website.After I built my website with Wealthy Affiliate they are helping me to keep it in good running order. Everything I need to have a successful business is here with Wealthy Affiliate and it’s FREE.

At Wealthy Affiliate there are 10,000s of team players who are there to help and support us. Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon. Did he get there on his own?

Final Opinion/Verdict

My first impression, as you have found out, is a good one. I am happy with the training and the support. I plan to plug along and succeed. Remember the Tortoise and the Hare Story? I never have been a rabbit in life in general but you can count on me to get the job done being a tortoise. LOL!
