Join Your Local MeetUp
I never go onto or blog on a board twice in one day. But since I was chatting with someone from one of my MeetUp's I thought I would go ahead and share this with new people. Being in IM can be an isolating experience. I ran businesses where I traveled the world, so this was a huge shift for me. It felt like prison.
So I joined several MeetUp groups in the greater Chicago area. Because I am in a large city we have a number to chose from, but even smaller cities such as Peoria have groups that may work for you.
Tomorrow I'm going to a MeetUp that is having someone from Shareasale there and a round table on Coupons. There are hundreds of groups around the country dedicated to affiliate marketing, SEO, article writing, entrepreneurship, etc. There are also groups that you may find interesting in your niche, say, hiking or baking or strength training or kick boxing or hypnosis, etc. Heck, you may find a blow away keyword at one of the meetings. Most are free, some have nominal attendance charges because of location. If nothing else, build some local friends in the business.
I always say this - peak around every corner and there is opportunity. Go to MeetUp.com and see if there is an opportunity for you.
