About Dec944
Joined April 2008
I live in Chicago. I spent most of my life in corporate America in executive positions performing mergers and acquisitions and have been able to transfer my experiences to IM.

I've also owned and sold multiple companies but 2006 was my year to start a 10 year plan towards retirement. I was looking to build a "portable" business that can be done from anywhere. I am now four years into my plan and feel invigorated, successful and lucky. This has been a great challenge and certainly not one without bumps and bruises. What a journey!

If I have learned anything in my life it is to stay on task and know what you are looking to achieve. I'm not in the IM niche so I don't have the swagger of those who are, but I can say, find a niche, love it up and you will reap great benefits.

Please feel free to add me to your buddy list. I can use as many IM friends as are out there.

Possibilities...one of my very favorite words. Back when I was a college student I became a big fan of Emily Dickinson. My favorite was always her poem, "I dwell in possibility..." Thanks so much for your comment on my blog! ~ Maureen

I am a process person. I ran large organizations for years and lead process improvement initiatives. When I started doing this I was all over the place. I felt like I had a box of cats. My instinct was to "buy" my way out of confusion-articles spinners, article submission software, SEO software, etc. I had to step back before I augered myself into the ground. So I went back to basics and built a tech advanced business with old school processes. We really can over-tech our lives and business and NEVER get anything done.
