Two months 100 network members 0 posts
I am at the end of my second month at WA and like the first month I earned no income. I was not trying to make money just learn affiliate marketing I have been studying lessons while building my website and learning SEO. My website needs work and I considered if it was a part of the business I should maybe hire out because I am such a rookie. That thought quickly passed as I realized what a major role website building was going to be in my business plan. I consider this to be a major building block for which I must know, understand and implement on my own.
I plan to start back at the beginning and do the lessons and the website until I have it down pat.
I am still just as excited as I was on day one and I am enjoying the training. I learned so much in such a short time! Today my network reached 100 and was one of my goals that happened pretty much on its own. Making me realize the magnitude of the reach of Wealthy Affiliate. It may not be a very big number but it is at least double the number of my followers on social media.
My husband and I are still renovating our old farmhouse and we recently put in a ductless mini-split HVAC unit and it works like a charm I would recommend them to every one. Next up relocating the kitchen. Very excited! My daughter has just put in an offer on her dream house and waiting on the paperwork and closing. I am building a website for my families' painting business.
I hope to have more time working and less time studying so I can comment more so you all would know how much help you have been and to cheer you on.
If I am in a network I must do my part and participate! DUH!
Peace out
Deb

You are smart to realize that you need to build your website first, and then look for traffic.
You are also smart to realize you need to build the website yourself. That is the only way you will learn how to do it. Yes, go back over the training. I do so, as well, when there is time. You have just gotten things started, so going back will act as a refresher course.
Once you are well-established and have lots of traffic, then you can consider hiring outside help.
Congrats on reaching a network of 100.
It always helps to go over the lessons.
I wish you all the best,
Mickey
Well done, Debra! Just a thought, but maybe you can take photos of your farmhouse that you are renovating...and put down the how's and why you are doing what you are doing...you could create a blog post on that very topic and help others who are also thinking about renovating their home! Notice what you and your husband have purchased and what role it plays in the renovating...then look up a merchant website like HomeDepot.com or Lowes.com (or any builder's website), look or search for affiliate programs on the websites...sign up.....then create links in your blog post to products on those websites where you have an affiliate link...then just wait for the money to roll in! It may not be fast, unless you pay for some kind of ads to your site (ask around WA for ppc (pay per click- they can be cheap) ) ads and someone here can definitely help you if you have any questions on how to make affiliate income. Just food for thought, and good luck in everything!
Thank you for the post. I wish you much success.
