Try, Try, and Try Again

Three days ago I asked my adult son to add about four inches of water to my koi pond. I placed the hose in the water and told me when I leave to pick my husband up from the airport he was going to use my truck to return some item to the store. So off we both went.

The day, twenty-four hours later my husband came to me and said the water was on in the koi pond. Oh my god!!! I had eleven fish in that pond, two of which, my favorite, only ones with any personality, 5 years old and measured 15" and 17". I was thinking "it's all over now they are all going to die"! You see, chlorine fries the gills of fish. After the fish have been in the water for that period of time, some will not be able to take it. Of course the only thing you can do is add a de-chlorinator to the water and hope for the best.

Then we noticed my two favorite koi were listing about. We grabbed them and tried for eight hours we hung over the side of the pond trying to keep them upright and thier gills flushed. But to no avail, no matter how much we tried, they both died. It was heart breaking.

I totally share in the blame. It was irresponsible of us both. We had too much going on and just forgot the simple task of turning off the water.

I suppose the point of what I am trying to make here is this, I have tried to make money online before. I have tried this two times, spent alot of money on coruses, gotten my site up and running, filed it with content, and affiliate links, then it happens. Because I forget to set goals, I ended up going off track and started working on other things

What's different this time? The information and the process I have found at here WA is so much simpler and step by step. The communitee and the check boxes keep me on track. It also keeps my creative brain from wondering off the tracks.

My talents are many and I have a lot of interest and hobbies. Several at which, I am very good at. My pond is one of my hobbies and until 3 days ago I thought I was very good with. But, I am not going to give up on my pond though I failed and killed two of my fish- (Harsh, yes!) I will keep trying and trying to keep the rest of them alive. It's been 3 days now, so I think they are out of danger, but I'm not going to give up and get rid of the pond.

Giving up is the real failure. I have deceided to try this again and keep at it this time. I'm not going to let this one die. So set your goals, set reminders and keep trying and trying.

Hey Deborah!

I can relate whole heartedly.

We just have to keep reminding ourselves why we are here and where we want to go.

It is hard when life gets in the way.

You just have to keep coming back!

Great post!

Angela : )

Thank you Angela!

Giving up on our online business or anything else in our lives for that matter, should never be an option.

I just see it as taking the easy way out. Quitting is always going to be for losers

I lost all my koi to a swimbladder infection last winter as well. Heartbreaking for sure.

Last week I added 250 baby koi to the pond, touch wood they seem to be doing okay so far. Will be great to see them grow right from

Wow that sounds like a big pond. We only had 11, small pond. The two I lost were my favorite and it was so sad. Thanks for your kind words.
