W is for Wheels
I had the mistaken notion that the wheel was invented sometime during the Stone Age (maybe I was thinking of fire…lol). Actually, it was first used in Mesopotamia around 3500 B.C. They were created, not for transportation, but to be used as potter’s wheels. It wasn’t until 300 years later that someone figured out to use them for chariots. We usually associate wheels with transportation…cars, bicycles, even wheelchairs.
Today the wheel is used in so many other applications.
Recreation
Machinery in the form of gears, pulleys, bearings…there are probably a few of these in the computers we use every day.
A hub is the center part of a bicycle wheel. Of course, Kyle and Carson are the hub of Wealthy Affiliate. They have the vision. The invention of the wheel has made life easier. It helps us to get from one place to another much faster. It eases our burdens in daily life.
