A Life on Purpose

Last Update: January 07, 2021

2021 -- A New Year. We came into this year with hope and faith that things would certainly be better than the last one. It started out with a bang!!!!

Yet as I read blogs, I sadly see illness, frustration and desperation. I admit that I am coming out of a "funk" if you will.

Living in the US right now is taking its toll on many of us. It's disheartening and most of us are powerless to make changes that need to be made. The division, not only amongst states but amongst families and friends, needs to stop! We are better than that.

I also just lost 2 people (not COVID related). One was my favorite cousins. We were only 5 years apart but my mother trusted her to babysit me. I'm really not sure WHY she thought that was ok because if there was trouble to be had, my cousin and I found it. I might have been a handful as a child but my cousin enabled me. LOL. Her passing was good because her last few years have been tough but it's still hard on those she left behind.

The other was a friend that I hadn't heard from in a while and was checking up on him. Come to find out, he died in Septemeber. It was a SHOCK! He was my first love at age 12. I mean, you never forget your first love right?

Anyway, life happens and we need to learn how to accept the ups along with the downs, process them in our minds then move on. We can't stay in that "funk" place. That place serves no one.

WA has so much to offer. Let's not waste time with worry, frustration, sadness or even anger. Remember to be kind to one another. You have no idea what they are going through. We're each here to fulfill a dream. Let's get to it!!!!!

I'll leave you with something I heard tonight:

Everyone ends up somewhere. Very few end up somewhere on purpose.

Decide where you want to end up this year then make it happen -- on purpose!!!

Hugs

~Debbi

Debbi, so sorry for the losses you endured. I also agree with what you said about living in the US right now. I think a lot of us have unanswered questions, and frustrations that have ultimately led to anxiety and fear.
I do not know what tomorrow will bring, nut I certainly intend to make the best of today.

Good Morning Debbi,

I must say that was a sad start of your year. Your dear cousin and your first love, they have departed and you will miss them. They were part of your life and now only fond memories remain.

We should all realize that living in peace with each other and respecting each other only like that we can advance as a human race.

Greetings from the south of Spain,

Debbi, I'm really sorry about your losses but as you've stated life still goes on
It is also up to us to decide where you want to be. Where our business will be. We need to plan our business with the end in mind

So true. When we get hit, it just takes a minute to regroup and get back in the fight.

What a super post Debbi. Sorry about your losses but the rest of your message is upbeat and perhaps just what I needed to read right now, especially the quote which is now written into my notebook. Thank you.

Thank you for the good advice. Life may push us around, but we need to be in control of what we can control. All the best in the New Year.

Be in control of what we can control, that’s a great way to look at things. Thank you.
