I did not write this - but WOW does it speak to my heart!!! Worth the read.Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening.Barely arrived on Monday and it's already Friday.... and the month is already over.... and the year is almost over.... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed.... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends.and we realize it's too late to go back...So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time...Let's keep looking for ac

2021 -- A New Year. We came into this year with hope and faith that things would certainly be better than the last one. It started out with a bang!!!!Yet as I read blogs, I sadly see illness, frustration and desperation. I admit that I am coming out of a "funk" if you will. Living in the US right now is taking its toll on many of us. It's disheartening and most of us are powerless to make changes that need to be made. The division, not only amongst states but amongst families and friends,

Well, the holidays are over and it's time to regroup. I normally spend the time between Christmas and New Years to clean, rid the house of clutter and get organized. It helps me reset and prepare for a new beginning. I spent the holiday in Upstate NY with my family. I don't get to see them often so it was really nice (albeit tiring). There is a reason you have your children when you're young. I suppose I could be one of those subdued grandmothers but where's the fun in that. I want to pl

It's Sunday night (or Monday morning for some) and I thought everyone could use a little humor. While this graph is meant to be funny, it's actually pretty accurate. I won't go through all the categories but check out the internet. That is pretty darn accurate. This pandemic has everyone buying online including food! We are in the right place Stay focused and committed. You CAN DO this! If there was ever a time, it is NOW. Honestly, I think the rest of the categories are pretty accura

A friend posted this on FB today and it hit a chord with me so I wanted to share it in case someone else needed it as well.Helen Keller was an amazing woman and should be an inspiration to all of us. She was deaf and blind yet she accomplished so much in her lifetime. To be honest, I'm not sure I would have had her tenacity. As we all know, this has been a tough year for many and we so NEED some HAPPY. This holiday season, I'm certainly thinking of all the things that I "want". I suppose tha

There has been a lot of blogs written recently regarding site comments and how frustrating it is to get poor quality comments. I found this in my "WA File" and thought I'd share. I thought it had some useful pointers and might help you get more QUALITY comments on your website. For commentors - once again, do NOT confuse website comments with feedback. Comments are provided on the website and are your reaction or opinion about the content you've just read.Feedback is NOT done on the website bu

It’s another gorgeous (albeit warm) day in VA. I love having my windows and sliding glass doors open on days like this. The slight breeze gets all the germs out of my house. Well, that’s my story anyway and I’m stickin’ to it. LolSo as I sat at my table with the breakfast of champions……COFFEE, I looked out to see greenery growing out of the rock wall in my yard. I went out to take a photo of this greenery and was greeted by this little guy. Funny how

I put out a question yesterday to see if anyone could guess what 2 Ambassadors have in common. I had some "interesting" responses to say the least. lol One person NAILED it right away. I knew if anyone got it, it would be JrzyGrlBJ (Barbara) so I had to silence her. LOLThis community has THOUSANDS of people all over the world (perhaps millions). We represent almost every country (if not all of them). As I've often said, WA is unique in that we develop friendships with people we've never m
