Here's what I would do. Write out your blog on a document, and then copy and paste it into your blog area. That way, if for some reason something goes wrong (maybe you push the wrong button or the system fails or something) you don't lose all your work. You just copy and paste again.

I can't tell you precisely what happened only Kyle and Carson have access to that level of information. That said, many times the blog posts are removed for overly promotional material. If it was determined that this was the case your blog will be removed.
Occasionally, blogs are also removed if they have no bearing on IM.
