Progress Report for June 16 2017~

My progress thus far is more than I expected in just two weeks. I'm moving into Course 3 but to be honest there were a few Lessons in Course 2 that I had to skip but will get back to a little later. I have issues with staying on task if I don't know what is ahead of me. It's just the way my brain works. My focus kept getting diverted with concerns of my content and wanting to get my first post up on the website. What made it worse was my mind kept racing with self-doubt and insecurity about the quality of my content and a lingering question in my mind; "can I actually make this into a business or am I just wasting time?" What helped me was when I found my mind wandering during a lesson that I was struggling with to really understand and get through; I decided it would be better to just put the lesson down, take a breather and push through to the next lesson. The great thing about Wealthy Affiliates is that the lessons are setup so you can come back to a previous lesson at any time.

My Niche~

The Niche I chose is a health issue I have been following for a long time now; Brain diseases like Alzheimer's. I combined that subject with something I love to do; creating healthy recipes for a specific health condition. My family has been dealing with Dementia and Alzheimer's for many years so it just seems natural that my niche has to do with this subject.

My Success~

I haven't experienced much success just yet; Google hasn't found my website but that's okay. It gives me more time to work on my content and it's still early. It can take a week.

I'm very proud of myself in the fact that I have gotten this far in my website. The Wealthy Affiliate program is so amazing. The lessons are clear and easy to follow and the community of help is phenomenal. Unless you're like me and have focus issues, my advice is to stay in the moment of each lesson and follow along creating your website as you go.

It will happen...It will happen~

My goal is clear but I'm being flexible with my methods. So do whatever works for you and remember there are so many WA folks willing to help if you get stuck.

My favorite author Alice Walker wrote "The Nature of this Flower is to Bloom." I choose to look at it like a flower, that if given enough water, sunlight and a little time, it will do and be what it is meant to be and by its nature, it will bloom.
