Day 116: Practice with Self Video

Out of the blue, for some reason, I thought of recording myself on video.

I did screencast, so I showed my face in the corner, showed my desktop screen that contains what I was doing, and then I started talking.

Mind you, this was at night and I'm about to fall asleep (lol)

So why do this all of a sudden?

Doing Videos to Come Up with Content?

At some point I just want to go out of the typical blog post to try out new things. I'm already delayed with my current article, so I want to come up with content gimmicks while I don't feel like resuming it.

One of the things I thought is to record myself, even if the video is just going to be private - only for myself. Even if it was totally unscripted and impromptu in presenting.

At least with this current setting, it allows me to think and stir up my ideas while explaining the topic at hand.

If you remember, I also played with paper as a way to blog outside of digital, as well as dictating text to add words faster. Video is another means to blog if I feel bored.

I could always come back to my output in order to take away something from it. Which reminds me, I should also come back to my previous blog posts to gather ideas for creating the new ones.

At any rate, you should try out video too, even if it's just for your own use and produced on-the-spot.

Okay, so I'm testing new content types or ways to deliver content.

That said, it doesn't change the fact that I'm not attending much to my present Post #12. I guess motivation is at a low for me at this point.

But I wish you're doing way better than me, given how less of a time I spend. It pays off for you in the long run anyway.
