Day 115: Blogging on Paper

I'm on a rush for blog posts right now.

Even so, I still find the time to write on paper, along with my handy pen.

In some way, I could be productive with blogging using just a classic office tool.

Do you use it too?

Why Write on Paper

Besides paper being an old school way to write, which gives a relaxing feel, there are other reasons to return to the paper.

For one, writing at the speed of paper slows down your pace, therefore allowing your thoughts to flow in better.

With paper, you get to choose how to write on it, whether you like to add text or draw pictures or doodles. This is perfect for capturing ideas on the spot when a flash of thought comes and you can't afford to miss it.

Compared to a text document or Wordpress editor where there might be distracting buttons or notifications, a paper is free of distractions. Just remove everything from your desk besides your pen and paper then you can focus easily.

Sure, it doesn't have the publish button or connectivity or syncing with other apps. But you can always transfer from paper to digital when your work is ready. It may not be that fast, but it gives you insights nonetheless, allowing you to arrange thoughts in a way a document cannot do.

Exposure Time (Business): 20 minutes

Exposure Time (Niche): 10 minutes

I transferred some ideas from the paper to the document.

Progress is moving steadily, though I admit that it's slow these days.

Paper is definitely going to be a strategy I'll combine with digital when it feels monotonous at times.
