Off-line marketing anyone?
I am wondering how much emphasis would be placed on marketing your website / business in the off-line world? I often thought that if I could partner with a Harvard MBA to take care of my marketing needs, I would have been successful a long time ago. Not that long ago, I purchased a franchise for computer repair. I knew my weak point was marketing so I hired a marketing firm to not only get my rankings up in Google but to also get my business name out there in the off-line arena. I paid them $800.00 per month and they did nothing.....my rankings did not go up and no one even heard about me.
After 8 months I ran out of money and I fired them. Unfortunately my franchise went south as well.
So, are you good people only focused on Google rankings or are you doing some type of off-line marketing that I could avail myself of?

Woah that is a lot of money that you lost Dave, sounds rather unfortunate. I think that people are definitely looking towards low hanging keywords/content when they are trying to make it up the rankings. There are definitely a lot of other ways to reach visibility as well like with social media, but it can be a long term process.
