Duplicate Content

I am trying to come out of the dark forest LOL

Recently I had problems with site content - somehow it just would not work for me. The wonderful community here pointed me in the right direction - thank you all.

I wrote a post in site content & posted it to my siterubix site to be sure all was OK

- Gr eat I finally achieved it.!!! I was overwhelmed when the blog was indexed by Google - WOW. Even had two comments.

A couple of days ago, I was again advised the post was seen by Google.

I have copied the contents from the siterubix site & added substantial more content. It is my intention to complete this blog on my Wordpress site.

My Question is:

I am mindful of duplicate content being used, & in order to not fall foul of this.

Should I delete the post in Siterubix before adding it to my Website ?

Thanks

Denis

Have a great day & a super Canada Day

The comment below is spot on.

Substantial changes to the content and added images should eliminate the problem being listed as duplicate content. One thing you could do is to write the post in Site content change the sentence structure slightly and then attempt to post it on your domain name site. Site content will check to see if it thinks it is duplicate content for you.
If it comes back that Site content thinks it is ok then you are good to post.

Thank you Alexander - your comments greatly appreciated.
I will write my post in Site Content as suggested. I do have many images I have added, so it may take me longer - but that is OK as I want to get it right.

Hello Denis,

While reading your post I was asking myself the following:

You created a Siterubix site and now you have an own domain website. Don't you want to move all the content of your siterubix site to the new one, or is your question concerning only one article?

If it is only this one article, yes you will have to delete it from your siterubix website otherwise you will be your own duplicator!

Kindly,
Anne

Hello Anne,

Thank you for your response - greatly appreciated.

My question is for the one article.
I believe I will need to delete it from Siterubix even though Google indexed it twice. I only posted it to to test via site content.
Hopefully my new updated article will also get Google to index it.

Regards

Denis

You are welcome, Denis.

I understand now, yes if it was just a test, simply delete it, there is no reason why it shouldn't index as well again.

Thank you for the follow, I am returning it.

Best regards,
Anne

If you want to use the exact content, you will have to delete it from siterubix. But for me, what I will do is to create a related content in that site and link the siterubix content for reference. It will give a boost to your siterubix content which is already ranking.
Otherwise, you will lose your advance.

Thank you Nadia
Appreciate your comments.
I will contemplate the best procedure.

I have added substantial content both in text & media & is very much improved from my siterubix post.

Regards

Denis
