Managing Your Internet Business

Do you ever feel that managing an Internet business is rather like trying to keep a plant alive. I have quite a tall ( well about 4ft ) plant in my house, I had watered it regularly for many weeks and it looked beautiful.

A few days ago I had been away for about 5 days on business and found the same plant drooping , yellow leaves and dying stems. I naturally "thought should I throw it away?" but then maybe not , I'll just keeping giving it water twice a day in the hope that a little care may bring it back to life. Sure enough wiithin 3 or 4 days it was almost back to its original best.

The moral of the story is that think of your internet business as my plant, just because your not at it all day every day does not mean it will totally die on you. In fact you may cause more harm than good.

However don't believe these people who say I can just leave my website to carry out making me money even when I'm not around. You just need to sprinkle it occasionally with water ( content ) and eventually it will come good.

I have a new travel website called www.authoritytravel.com and I'm finding a steady increase in traffic every month since February the numbers visiting has more than doubled , with the SEO , meta tags and blogging. ( water ) some say they are not great methods but we learn as we go along.

What is your view ? What types of strategies do you use ?

That's a great method, now it's just a matter of putting up a ton of content!

True- a website is like a garden, you plant the seed but if you don't water it and fertilize it, well it can't grow. It takes time to grow a really good site, you don't quit tending the garden when the flowers appear and expect to get the fruit, it requires continued work. :)

Liike this and congratulations on traffic increase

Love your analogy. I've been listening to Jay's live video trainings and they've help me get google rankings on page one and three of one my sites and page one and two on the other. The low hanging fruit tree strategy is awesome.

Excellent insight!

I think that you are dead right. It is not rocket science but the basics of our trade should't be under estimated and with a little care and attention your efforts will grow into a really healthy crop...GOOD LUCK

Thank you
