Where Does WA Stand on Toy Guns?
32" AK47 SWAT Team Assault Rifle Machine Gun Toy with Light Scope & Shooting Sounds
People buy toy guns for Christmas presents. The replicas and BB guns look extremely realistic. Do we offer them on our websites?
If Amazon offers it, do we sell it?
Just wondering.

I agree with Dave and steveww. Kids who are not allowed to be around weapons seems to develop an unrealistic view about weapons. They believe they are more like video games.
Train your children up in the way they should go and when they are old they won't depart from it. Teach your children well and love them. These things are going to be available to society in one form or another...As long the money is coming, there will be a supply for these things. You must decide if you want to promote or not. All the best to you.

The reason they look so realistic, is because the largest MFG. of these guns, for our GOVERNMENT, is Mattel, the toy maker.
Personally, as a toy it is no different than the 6 shooter cap guns I had as a child. Where the problem comes in is the mental thoughts of society today.
You could ban Guns, Knives, Sharp Objects, Bombs, and anything else someone would or could use, But You Can Not (BAN EVIL) !!!
I think you should consult your own conscience and do what it tells you.
Personally, I would if that was my niche.
Here is why.
I used my daughters toy guns as a training tool. She was not allowed to point them at another person.
From there we went from BB guns, to pellet rifles, to the real things.
Every step of the way proper gun etiquette, and safety was stressed.
I knew that she would be exposed to guns and needed to learn the right way things should be done for her safety and those around her.
I also told if she was somewhere and someone showed up showing off with a gun she was to leave immediately and go find someone in authority to notify.
The toy gun is not bad in itself and can be very positive if the parents care to do some supervision.
Assault Weapon, two worded term that has varied meanings. To me any gun is an Assault weapon. Officers of the Law may mistake a toy as the real thing. Although I don't agree, there always has been and always will be these type of toys for sale as long as there is money in it. Although I am amazed at the real look of these. You will have look into your self. It is your call. Take care and see you around.
If I had a son, which I don't, or a grandson (ditto), it's not sort of toy I'd be buying anytime soon. Nor would I promote it, regardless of what tragedies unfold in the real world. That would be my choice, at least.
I dont think the people here at WA will tell you what you can or cannot sell on your websites. They can offer their opinion if you ask. I personally think guns like this will eventually be discontinued for obvious reasons in the near future, so I am not sure if I would go that route.
I do not know if WA has an official stance on this topic, I would use personal judgement myself. I could not sell them for fear of mistaking them for the real thing.
the toy replicas are supposed to have the red tip on the end of the barrel to show they are replicas. I think her picture shows this.

I agree. my husband is a hunter and our kids know how to use guns appropriately and we teach them the danger of guns. It helps make them not so curious about them, and helps them want to play with them less.
