Getting Started

I thought I'd write a quick post to signify my start of this journey. At this point, I have no idea how far this journey will go, or where it will lead. But, I can say that I made a gingerly start with WA.

So far, I have completed the first 3 steps of the first module. It doesn't sound like much, I know. But it's a start.

I have been watching videos of affilate marketers spruking their wares for over 10 years (longer I'm sure). I have also spend a small fortune buying their recommendations hoping to find the next big thing. But unfortunately, none of those products brought me my promised gold-mine. I think I was looking in the wrong place :)

Speaking of gold-mines...I heard that the people that got rich during the gold rush (both in the US and Australia) were actually the equipment sellers, not the prospectors. Funny that, isn't it?

The only time I was able to buy a program (from an affiliate) and actually do something with it was 3 years. It was a dropship course called DSL. I was able to build a semi-successful store and move overseas. It went well for a while. But I failed to enlarge my skill-set. Consequently, that store is just bubbling away with a few sales here and there.

I have come to the realisation that my chasing after money will have NO lasting effect. I believe my best bet now is to enlarge my skillset...hence this course.

I am not expecting to make much money at all, and even if I do, I believe it will be WAAAAYY down the road. But for some reason that doesn't bother. me that much. I must be unwell ;)
