Hello Kyle, I really love doing affiliate marketing and being able to be creative thru writing articles that might help someone with their pet. My problem is I am not getting

Hackerist did mention right, at least 3 blogs in a week will get some traction. Also try to divide the blogs in some steps something like this blog on adopt cats petskona.com/6-ways-to-make-your-cat-fall-for-you/

Good luck with this you have some excellent feedback here, tough , honest but real... its gold dust....I think the suggestion to put your site in for a review would really help you. Its part of the process its tough but I have learned lots from it. Good luck , this is a great opportunity for you to get this feedback, ... Phil

Thank You, I really need some feedback, and I appreciate to honesty. I will be implementing this feedback. only thing is I don't know how to improve the look of my site.

Thanks,

David

1. You don’t have enough posts to get traffic. Write at least 3 posts a week.
2. The look of your site needs to be improved. Your website URL shouldn't be at the top of your blog or in the footer.
3. Your posts should be at least 1,000 words. The more words the better.
4. The thing here is not to write posts but to write quality and engaging posts.

Tom

Thanks for your feedback, I have tried to improve the look of my site I have no idea how to do it. I have been trying to do some shorter posts and will go back with follow up posts. Some of the people that have visited my site said my posts were too long, so I am doing both short and longer posts.

Thanks,

David

You're welcome. It's not only what people like, but also what Google loves. Regarding the look:

1) Take a look at the top dog blogs: https://blog.feedspot.com/dog_blogs/
This is one of the best things to be inspired and start making changes on your blog.
2) You may want to choose another theme. Our site's look depends on what our theme is.
3) Add appealing images and graphics.

You can't expect to get a professional site if you are just starting. This is not an overnight improvement but continuous improvement.

Tom

I have been implementing some of the changes you and Diane told me about. Since making those changes I have already had some good comments. I really appreciate both of you taking time to give me great feedback. I will check out the site you suggested.

Thanks A Bunch,

David

Glad to hear that and you’re welcome David!

I have been working on my theme. I have found several that I like and have tried to install them. They look nothing like what I thought they would once installed. Instead they look pretty close to the same theme I already have. Do you have any guidance?

David

I have no idea what themes you tried, You may want to install a premium theme that offers more options to get what you want. Better still if it was created for dogs or pets. You can try this:
https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress (type dogs or pets in the search bar) or you can check out the sites included in the link sent in the previous message. Their footers may show the designer or the theme name.

Thanks

Hi - you have a pop-up that appears literally every minute and it obscures your content and has to be clicked away. That personally would make me leave your site before I had time to purchase anything and I suspect most visitors would feel the same way.

You actually need a lot more content to attract Google's attention and rank your posts higher. You only have 13 posts in the space of 6 months, which isn't very much. If you were adding 2 posts per week which is the recommended minimum, you would have nearly 50 by now.

As regards conversions when you do actually get traffic, you need to check that your links are still appropriate. For example, in your pet crate review, the actual product is out of stock. So, obviously, it can't be purchased. In your tracking device review, 4 of your product links don't work. And one of your links in the Royal Canin review doesn't work.

Thank you so much I did not know my links were not working. I know I need more posts and will be working on that. I appreciate the feedback.

Pop up is gone. Thanks for the advice.
David

My affiliate had changed from Rakuten to Shareasale so that is why links were not working. Thank You again for your feedback I wouldn't have realized that would if not for your feedback.
