I've heard it said differently. You can't hoot with owls and crow with the rooster in the morning. Either way, this is my excuse for not watching the ball drop.
On the other hand, I did scratch out a 4000-word article from 4:30 AM to 10:30 AM, so the new year is off to a good start.
Some of my time today will be spent setting goals for 2025. Goal one is to look more like this young fellow.
