I am new and have yet to set up my first website- I am busy researching first- I noticed that a company I would like to link to for sales has their affiliate program go thru CJ

I received this email from CJ's
CJ Affiliate's self-serve Advertiser/Merchant program is a minimum commitment of 12 months for my website. You would be looking at an approximate minimum investment of $9,000 investment for the year. $500/month for 12 months plus a one-time integration fee of $3,000 in addition to the commission you'd pay to Publishers. Typically we look to partner with sites that have at least one year of online experience, participate in other forms of online marketing and earn a minimum of $75,000 a month in online transactions.

$9,000 ?? Seriously?

Almost every product I want to promote is affiliated with CJ's so looks like I just wasted 2 months of my life

Never a waste. There is always a fix. Do some more research and see if you can find some affiliate programs available out there for you. :)

Where Clickbank is the go-to for digital products, CJ and Rakuten Linkshare are great for retail items. I currently use only one affiliate program with CJ, but its a cornerstone for me. I have had no issues with either one, and both offer great resources for publishers.

Thank you marant- nice to have you all here to bounce support questions off of. Have a great day!

Yes I use them all the time a very good source for affiliate links.

Thanks tommydillard- your positive experience is a great confidence booster!

Plus you can also try linkshare they are pretty good.

I saw your reply to a post about CJ Affiliates, and was wondering if you had any information about if it will cost me out of pocket money to accept their agreement to link items in my store to theirs...

No fee's you get commissions when someone buys from your link to them.
