Motivation Mindshift
Ever run out of motivation AFTER you have been so amped up on enthusiasm and all the hype? Ever wonder where all that energy has gone and the new feelings of fear, worry and doubt are now your new masters? Well, to be honest, we have all lied to you but in a good truthful way.
You see motivation alone will not help you accomplish your goals...never has and never will. Motivation usually just needs a kick start and YOU have to then have to become self-motivated. Anything else is a waste of time and effort. I quote Jim Collins saying, "If you have the right people...they will be self-motivated". Yet motivation is never a wholly do-it-yourself task. The question becomes "how do I keep myself in a state of motivation? Glad you asked because it is EASY.
PROGRESS!!!! It is the key factor in almost all endeavors that will keep you going. The problem is what happens when you are not seeing it? You come and get a booster shot from like-minded people who have been on the same journey as you. Look at their woes and see their successes. The cliche is so true.."if they did it ...so can I". It should remind you of your potential to succeed, show you your potential and be a breeding ground for your talents and resources so one day, you will be an inspiration for other on the same path.
I try not to write anything I don't believe in and I thought I lost all the motivational mumbo jumbo I spit out weekly when I started writing a book. I couldn't understand what happened and just as I was sitting there it hit me. I wasn't motivated because I wasn't making progress. I took a step back, got my own booster shot and here I am blogging again about motivation. Whatever you are doing in life take a step and remember you are NEVER alone. Someone will be, has and is going through the same things you are in a different way but hopefully you will both end up in the same place SUCCESS.
I wish you much success
Anthony
