Recovering from Disaster

Hello, everyone.
It has been quite a while since I have been to this community. And there is a good reason for that. Rest assured, it is not because I encountered a problem within Wealthy Affiliate. It is a personal disaster that has kept me from my goals.

To make this story short — my suite flooded due to carelessness of the people living above us. My husband, cat, and I were ankle-deep in water along with some of our belongings. We did everything we could to correct this, but in the end the suite was deemed unlivable. There was too much damage.

We were given one- week to move out of our home. We had no where to go either. Our belongings were scattered in various different places all over town and I ended up having to , temporarily, part with my cat. We matress-surfed for two weeks until we found a new home.

We are all safe now and our cat is with us again. But the stress is still there, and we are in mourning over the loss of the home we lived in for five years.

It feels good to be back here wilth all you kind and supportive folks. I pray that I can get back on my feet and catch-up on everything I need to do to be successful.

To all who are reading this — thank you.

Yours,
Darcy

WOW! What a disaster. It takes a lot of emotional stamina to go through something like that. And then loose your belongs and have to start over again. Plus it is hard to deal with the fact that someone was careless.

We are so glad you are safe. And we are glad you could share your blog with us. Friends make things go better.

We know you will absolutely get back on your feet. Throughout life we will all go through unexpected things. The real key is to take it in stride and believe in ourselves. We know you have what it takes and that you will pace yourself accordingly. There is no one you are competing against here. or having to prove yourself to

We are glad you are back safe.

Do take care.

🙏🙏 that all will be well again, Darcy!

Thank you so much, Jeff. Your kind words of support mean a lot to me. *Hugs*

You're very welcome, Darcy! One of my properties was flooded out last year, and I experienced flooding in 1993 as well. A big mess, indeed, but it sounds like you are recovering well!

Jeff

That must have been very scary and worrying. I'm sure your glad to be sorted

Yes, definitely. There is still much to do. But we are getting there slowly.
