9 months down
Gday Ladies and Gents,
I havent blogged for a while so just wanted to give you guys an update on how I am doing, for those who care!
I have had to go back to the 9-5 which kinda sucks, however I have been lucky with my new role and am enjoying it for the time being. My IM has stalled a little bit, but its mainly because I have been working on a few new campaigns and other bits and pieces.
I have seen results, and have made a lot of sales. But overall I am definitely down when you take into account aweber membership, WA membership, hosting and domain purchases etc etc. Not to mention the outsourcing which I have started doing as I now have some spare cash from the 9-5.
I dont like to think about how much time and effort I have put in, and have actually lost money after 10 months... Grrrr. Has anyone else experienced this scenario?
I am also getting up at 5.30ish each morning and putting a couple of hours in before I go to work, which is amazing for me - I never get up early! But I have the bug, and I cant seem to lose it! Call me crazy, but its the first thing I do when I wake up, check my emails and and clickbank stats on the iphone next to my bed.
Geez... I hope this works out for me with all this effort I am putting in...
I have also spent $500 US on Mark Ling's Affilojetpack and am pretty pumped about the potential. Some people have called me crazy for forking out that kinda money, but honestly I think it has been great value for money. I am just kicking off my first campaign so will keep you posted.
I am still pretty optimistic about the future, and can see that if I get this right I am on my way to building a big, big business which will snowball. I guess its just taken my 9 months to get the ball rolling
So, in summary, its been tough, but I really have enjoyed myself.
But if I am back here after 18 months still down then someone please shoot me!

Hi Dan, There is so much trial and error in this business. Most people don't have the chops for it. At some point, you figure out what works, then you have to run with it. Keep flexible. Constantly changes. Always surprises. A mentor can help, though I haven't found a real one yet myself.
