Even if you believe you have chosen a niche that doesn't seem to fit your goals, you have the ability to chose another niche. Treat your first niche as guide post to following niche's that you develop. I have learned so much and I have made some mistakes. Whether my first niche take off or flounders, I look at it as a learning opportunity that will only benefit my succeeding niches.

I know how you feel, niche selection is a huge milestone! I struggle to decide because I want to make the best choice possible and not do all the work "for nothing" if the niche happens to be bad... but I guess we have to learn to let go and just make a decision and stop thinking! In any case we will learn a lot and if that niche didn't work we just try Idea #2...
Agreed, it is, and I felt great getting through it. I had similar doubts about the validity of my niche, but trusting that I will be able to adjust and narrow it to something good as I go and as I learn my niche. Learn, course correct, improve, rinse-wash-repeat until I get it right.
