I'm using Affinija to place Amazon ads on my website. I notice that when the product is displayed on my page that the price is also shown. Can I leave this in the ad? I read so
Hey Dave,
Displaying Amazon product prices on your website is permissible under specific conditions...Amazon requires that any displayed prices are obtained through their Product Advertising API to ensure accuracy (as they don't want outdated pricing across a myriad of publisher websites out there).
Additionally, you must include the date and time when the price was last updated, as Amazon's prices can change frequently.
It's important to note that Amazon prohibits the use of price-comparison tools that display Amazon's prices alongside those from other retailers. If you choose to display prices in a comparison format, you must show both the lowest "new" price and the lowest "used" price for Amazon products.
Regarding the Affinija tool that you are using, ensure that it retrieves prices via Amazon's API and includes the required timestamp. If it doesn't, you might be at risk of violating Amazon's policies. '
And to avoid potential issues, consider disabling the price display feature or consult Affinija's support to confirm compliance with Amazon's requirements.
Anyways, I hope this helps you out here.
Hi Kyle,
Thanks for that info.
I haven't actually displayed any prices. All I've put is 'See More Like This'. It takes the visitor to the item and also all other telescopes. A'm I ok doing it this way?
From what I gather from Affinija training they have their own AP API with Amazon which sellers like myself who haven't got the the three sales required for my own AP API.
