Does anybody understand how Google indexing works?

I have three articles that have not indexed yet. It has been two weeks since I published them. Most of the time they index within two to five days, but not those three. Also, I have written articles after those three and they have all been index, in fact my last one index within 24 hours.

I really am not too worried about it, just curious and confused about how google indexes content. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

Google is a funny thing. Sometimes I have posts that get indexed in 2-3 days and others take 2-3 weeks. I know that with new sites, Google seems real touchy about posts with affiliate links in them. I have also found that posts with more than 1500 words seem to take a bit longer to get indexed. I think (and this is just my opinion) that Google is a bit lazy at times and their "spiders" that search our sites tend to go after shorter posts first. If it has a lot of affiliate links, they treat those posts kind of like spam.
That being said I have found that having posts with 2500- 3000 words but no links get indexed pretty fast. That has happened to me a few times.
I think it boils down to how much trust Google has in your content.
The amount of traffic you are getting to your site. How long the traffic stays on your site. The trust of the other sites you may be linking to might have some bearing on it also.
I am definitely not a Google expert, but these are just a few things that I have seen with my content getting indexed.

That does make sense. The articles that are not indexed yet are over 1500 words with affiliate links and one is 2500 words with links.
My last few articles are under 1500, some have links and some don't. They have all been indexed. So what your saying, I can see the same with my posts as well.
Who knows, maybe this is how Google does indexing?

It's fine, I wonder if anybody knows?

I would suggest either go to the search box on the dashboard or go to live chat and see what you can find out from there. I hope this helps you out

I have some articles indexed by Google but not all of them, why? maybe some of my articles aren't as good as the others, I will have to review them.

I doubt it has anything to do with how good your articles are. I feel there must be some kind of weird algorithm they use or something...

That happens but here's something that will help get them done faster

I will have to try this. Thanks!
