Sacrifice In Business
You don't have to research home businesses long before you get a rather flowery, unrealistic picture of the whole venture.
Everything is depicted as "easy" and "simple".
No sweat. No hard work.....
We see images of people on beaches, people in their pajamas sipping on a coffee while earning boatloads of cash while doing NOTHING.
But we know better. It is hard work.
This post isn't about hard work, though. It's about sacrifice.
Sacrifice is defined as "the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim"
Whatever your goal in home business, it has a higher claim than what you sacrifice to get it.
One of my favorite quotes of all time might be familiar to you:
"Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won't, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can't."
The unknown author of that quote is conveying something here that I think is of paramount importance, especially as you work to build your business, and as I build mine.
Sacrifice is important. Notice, you don't get to "spend the rest of your life like most people can't" if you don't "live a few years of your life like most people won't."
Hard work is a given. You have to work hard. But it's more than just working hard. It's walking that extra mile, SACRIFICING just a little bit more because you know that end goal is so sweet and so amazing.
"Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won't (sacrifice), so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can't. " (freedom!)
Thanks for reading. You are AWESOME!
