Music and Wealthy Affiliate
I love to listen to music while I work.
Blame my 5 years in the grocery industry when I had to listen to music drone on all day while I worked my shifts.
Or maybe I was always like this. But I love working to music. Here is some of what I listen to:
Classical music (my children know some of the classic composers already! They complain, but it's good for them, and good for the creative juices)
Jazz (I could listen to Bossa Nova Jazz all day long)
Neil Diamond (hey! No judging. haha)
CHRISTMAS MUSIC (I started this past week. I know it's early......or is it?)
Oh and....
Neil Diamond Christmas Music!!!!
Ok. I'd better stop. I am a big Neil Diamond fan, and no that is not weird. Ok, maybe a little.
My point is- I feel like I write better posts and make better looking websites when I have some great music in the background, and I venture to guess I am not the only one.
I'm ready to find some new music that YOU listen to while you work. So I ask you:
What music do you listen to when you work here on Wealthy Affiliate and on your websites?
Or maybe you are someone that prefers to work in silence. That's cool too.
What WOULD you listen to if you did work to music?
Besides Neil Diamond. Haha.

Neil Diamond rocks! I can't do anything in silence, so I'm with you on listening to music. I mostly listen to classic rock and '80s hair bands. Rock on!
Nothing against Neil Diamond or Christmas music, but I would have to go with Classical music. I have a huge collection of classical CD's my wife just dug out. I've read articles that said that certain classical music (Bach in particular) can increase brain function. It would appear that other "music" can actually decrease brain function.
I'll often put on Subliminal Nature Sounds as well as Silent tracks.
I have added music to the back ground of my website I composed the music therefor I own it. just something more of myself givin to my website. I was told this plugin or one I have is slowing down my site and may result in ranking loss. Ill figure that out. good topic and great question. . If you would like to listen to ityou can at http://onlinebusinesstrain.com happy building to you J B
Oh, I haven't listened to Neil Diamond for ages, he's great, thanks for the reminder!
I don't listen to music while I'm working but there's isn't much I don't like.
My kids are all musical and find new (to me) artists for me to listen to, most recently Xavier Rudd and Shovels & Rope.
Old favourites, Rolling Stones, Queen, Motown, Led Zeppelin, Moody Blues to name a few.
Off to listen to some Neil Diamond now ;)
I don't listen to music when working on my website. If I do I will be distracted. I like music but Can't concentrate on the task at hand.
I have worked with music playing in several of my jobs....even growing up I did homework with music playing....sometimes I just like some of the new stuff out so I go with Pop rock and Hip Hop....not much for rap at all, to harsh for me. The other though has some nice beats and rhythms to listen to.
It will usually inspire me...Christmas music would put me in a dull state of mind. My Mom passed away the day after Thanksgiving in 1976...just not the most joyful time of year for me for a long time. I have improved on those depressing impressions and left them behind though, still need upbeat music though. :))
This is an interesting question! No Christmas music going here yet, but most likely soon. You may laugh, but I write better when I'm listening to Christian groups such as Casting Crowns, Hillsong, and Tenth Avenue North. Got to have my music, just like you! :) Michelle
very cool! Do you listen to the K Love station? It's a Christian radio station, they play a lot of Casting Crowns, Tenth Avenue North, etc. Hillsong is great, though. What is your favorite Hillsong album? Mine will always be "Look To You". LOVE IT
We don't get K Love station in my neck of the woods. :) There is no way I could name a favorite Hillsong album, they all have something special. I'm really enjoying their newest, Zion, right now. They were actually here in concert last Thursday night. Funny you listen to all types of music. :)
Yeah, I enjoy it.
Haven't heard anything from the Zion album.
And wow, that must have been amazing to see them live! Glory to God :)

Thanks Christa, I really want to watch this movie. I'll let you know how i like it after i watch it. Which I'm sure I'll like it. Thanks again Christa
You're welcome. I can hardly wait to hear if you like it. It is a favorite of mine. Did you ever see the Eddie and The Cruisers movies. If not you might like them as well! :) Christa
Gonna have to see if i can get my hands on that as well:)
lol :) I have always been into musicals, all kinds and all generations. This summer I watched all 3 versions of The Jazz Singer. There is Al Jolson, Danny Thomas, and Neil Diamond's versions. I am still partial to Neil Diamond's though Al Jolson's was actually the very first movie in which anyone ever heard anyone talk. It is the original "talkie" though the talking is not throughout the movie, much of it is still the silent movie style! A little movie history! :)
Wow i didn't know there are 3 versions. I also am a fan of musicals which is why i know i will enjoy this movie. Thank you for the movie history Christa:)
My pleasure! :)
