Google is such a KAREN!
OMG have you read the rules and regulations that Google puts on a website! So I am struggling to get Google Adsense running on my site. Currently, my site is in the "Getting ready" status. In researching what this "Getting ready" status means, it tells you what to do when your site is NOT ready to show ads....what?
First off, Google is LUCKY I even want these ads on my site. As a consumer that visits sites, I HATE THESE ADS that popup all over the sites I visit. So the fact you are going to tell me my site is not "ready" to show these ads really kind of pisses me off LOL.
Regardless, there are 4 key elements you have to take into consideration when setting up Google Adsense.
- If the code is missing or incomplete - I checked and mine is fine.
- If your site has enough unique content or provide a good user experience - ummm it's my own content so it is unique, as far as a good user experience, what do you want me to do provide champagne and chocolate at the door!
- That your site is reachabe. - I can reach it, if you can't then your arms are too short Google.
- If your site has policy violations - FYI, if your site has policy violations expect Google to be at your front door tomorrow with handcuffs.
Now, as far as I am concerned my site passes all these elements. Whether Google agrees with me or not we shall see. The main reason I wanted to write this blog was about a Plug In that I learned about today that has been a life safer and may save someone some money down the road.
It is called Site Kit by Google. It is a Free Wordpress plug in and it combines all the Google data consoles to your Wordpress dashboard.
- Search Console
- Adsense
- Analytics
It also shows your Adsense earnings, PageSpeed Insights, all kinds of nice stuff and it is so easy to install. ALL FREE! Unlike MonsterInsights.
So if you are looking for something to help you with this Google monster, check it out. It has been very helpful for me. Now if I can just get Adsense to make sense I will be on the road to a winning situation!

Have you applied for Ad sense then?
I wouldn't install site kit on my WordPress because it slows down site, stats can be found by logging on GA, GSC etc. Should I remove site kit from my site?
I will watch my Site speed and see if it effects it. Right now everything seems to be fine but you never know about this stuff.
