Wealthy Affiliate, holidays and the human race.
Going on holiday should be compulsory for everyone. I know of course that can't and won't happen for various reasons. My own father never went on holidays in his whole life and I am sure there are loads of people who could say that.
I love going on holidays because it shows me there are other people out there with different cultures, different religions, different cuisines etc.
There is the chill out factor. Many of the issues we get so wrapped up in in our normal working and family lives seem to evaporate a day or so after arriving at our new destination.
The thing that always gets me is that while I am on holiday and don't have any structure to the day there is some kind of empowerment taking place. I am free to do what i like within reason of course while the inhabitants of the new country or place I am in are not.
Usually they are busy, yes everyone other than the holidaymakers are busy with getting on with their normal working and family lives just as I was before I went on holiday.
I often sit outside a cafe or bar relaxing and watch the people going about their business. I wonder " where is she going?" or " what sort of work does he do?" Does that ever happen to you?
I can empathize with them and realize that despite all our differences, the human race is basically the same no matter where you go.
Going on holiday gave me an education of sorts that those who always stayed at home didn't have. Once back at home, I felt less insular than those who didn't go on holiday at least for a while. Then the old system kicked in again until another holiday came around.
The internet has in my opinion provided us with other ways of getting closer as a human race and since joining WA , I may not feel as if I am on holiday but there are some similarities .
In WA, I am chatting with people from different countries, whom i have never met before and who come from different cultures and experience different cuisines but I know from their comments and their profiles that they have issues in their lives that are similar to mine.
Isn't it interesting?

I agree, I have had so much more interaction with people all over the world thru WA. I agree as well about taking time off and gaining perspective
I agree and one of my favorite pastimes is people watching.
