Back To Reality
Last week I returned to a job from which I was absent due to an injury I had at football. I was off from work for a year, and in that time, I discovered a Wealthy Affiliate. So I guess I could call it a blessing, right? Lol.
Joke aside, the injury put me down on many aspects: I had to learn to walk again, my muscles atrophied, and I had to regain balance again. All the things that most people take for granted. I had to learn them over again.
But in between of rehab and training I had, I devoted time to develop my business. I never dreamed I could have an impact on other people. With the help of Wealthy Affiliate, I did that. And I'm still doing it.
Limited Time
Since my job takes more than 1/3 of the entire day (8 hours of work plus 2 hours of traveling), the time for developing my business is limited.Decimated, I would say. With only a couple of hours free in the day, I can't do much.
Luckily, I planned upfront and make preparations and decisions that will help me in future development.
Instead of focusing at writing in the past month, I focused on researching keywords and gathering relevant informations for articles.
I also decided to listen to podcasts and youtube videos while I am driving to work.
If you think about it, that is two hours of feeding my brain with informations and ideas! I used to listen to music and radio while driving. Now, this time is filled with research and planning — fuel for my business.
Quality Over Quantity
Today I wrote over a 2400 words long article. Now, somebody could say: "Why you didn't break it in two and publish two articles? This way, you could have written two articles for SAC."
As much as I hate the thought that I will be falling behind with tasks, I understand it is more important to write quality posts. This way, I am building stronger foundations and solid business.
Tell me which option would you choose:
- one post of 2400 words in the first page of Google
- two posts of 1200 words but not on the first page?
I would go with the first option. I could be wrong, but how I see it, Google wants quality over quantity. And that is what I am doing at the moment.
Even though my free time is limited, I never had more ideas to write about. I also enjoy writing more than I was when I wasn't working. I even crave for the time to sit down and start writing. And that is something I never imagined I would do.
Before WA, my time was spent on playing video games, watching Netflix and YouTube. Not that I have anything against it, but I understand I was wasting my time.
My Decision Is Solid
I know what my goal is and where I eventually want to be: quit my job and work from home. For me, not for somebody else! And my focus is sharper than ever.
I still have my goals which I want to achieve, and I won't let this opportunity slip out of my hands! It may take longer now that I have returned to the job, but it made me more determined to succeed in what I want!

What great planning Dalibor. It's amazing how just replacing some tv time and travel time with learning can keep your business moving along.
Great strategy, wishing you much success.
