Scathing review I wrote - could I get some feedback?
Hi, I just finished my review of a different company and it should be live posted on my website. I was trying to get some feedback from Kyle or someone with a lot of experience with reviews, because I was concerned about any legal ramifications from what I said. What I wrote is true of what happened to me, but maybe a review should not be so rude. I also realized that other people here had better experiences with SBI so I am sorry if what I said offends anyone. I would really appreciate your perspective. Thanks so much.

Daisy, I'd never heard of Site Builder 'til I read this. It's not illegal to give your opinion of anything on line - otherwise there'd be a heck of a lot less websites out there This is a review of your experience with them. And it's much better than giving a review of a product you don't know or have never bothered to do research on.
As long as you make it clear that it's your OPINION then you can say anything that you believe. Let's keep moving forward. ~Marion
SBI has been around for about fifteen years. At first they were pretty good, but they've been deteriorating steadily and your review is right on. Don't go asking Kyle or any other non-lawyer for legal advice. I've read worse about them.
This review expresses your opinion and your experiences with this company. There's nothing wrong with that and you won't get in trouble for a review like this.
I also tried building a site through their service a couple years before finding WA and I believe your review is a very fair assessment. I don't have any good memories about the experience.
Thank you Steve. I appreciate you sharing this with me. Some of the stuff that happened with them still stings. But it is also why I am so grateful and appreciate being here with this group on WA.
I don't see where you should be concerned about any legal ramifications. The ides of comparison analysis is used quite often in consumer reports, where in you can compare one aspect against another's.
So long as you haven't used any copy write material of the opposing company you should be fine. It is your right to compare and share details against a companies products or services.

I read your review entirely, and all I can say is you are being too self conscious. I thought it was an "excellent" review, and here's the key point (made below several times), you were writing from a "user" point of view. This was your experience, describing 3 years or more on a rigorous time schedule trying to make it work.
WA in comparison must seem like heaven. It's every thing SCI is not ... and then some. You were too kind in your comparison table. You could have doubled the comparative questions and SCI's + points would have stayed 4 or 5 out of 20 (20 - 25%). As I see it that's likely a more accurate assessment.
Your only comment feedback pretty much agreed with you. By the way, I encourage you to use the Site Comments feature of our SiteRubix portal. You have a great looking site, and you've only been a WA member for about 6 weeks. I think this is carry over skills (from SCI) at work.
The other positive out of this (other than you're no longer with them) is you acquired some valuable content writing skills and this will serve you well here at WA.
Actually Dennis, WA does indeed seem like Heaven. I am older and wiser and very grateful to be part of such a caring and wonderful community. Thank you for taking the time to read my viewpoint about SCI. My content writing skills are actually learned from Yoast and here, believe it or not. I use Yoast on website and it shows up on every page telling me exactly what I missed or need to add.
After so much struggling elsewhere, to come here and listen to Kyle and everyone, just saying to write more from the heart and just like I'm talking in a conversation, is such a tremendous relief. That is why it works.
