Awesome new keyboard

Last Update: April 01, 2015

This is so exciting! I have struggled for so long with two elements of typing. I was using a good keyboard, but the keys were so small and my eyes have changed so much that I really can't read the command keys (even with glasses). Also my spouse built my desk and the keyboard tray is a slide-out. So to get close enough to the screen to read it, I usually leave the slider halfway in. It's often too dark to see the keys. Also in the evening, when he is watching tv behind me, I have to put the big overhead light to see the keys.

Now for the awesome news!!!!!

My new keyboard with large size lettering and backlighting just arrived!!!! It lights up in blue, red or purple. Just amazing. I am so excited!! I can see what I am typing even in the dark and actually be able to read the letters. Fun!! Fun!! Fun!! Yahoo!

Is it mechanical? You should totally check out my website! http://thepcprogrammer.com/category/technology/mechanical-keyboards/
I do loads of stuff on keyboards, mainly mechanical keyboards. If you don't know what they are, they've basically got physical switches underneath the keys instead of rubber dome membrane switches which most keyboards have, and this makes them so much better to type on!

Hey Tim, I have no idea if its mechanical - it just lights up. I am going to check your site and see if I can figure it out though.

Cool, if you take one of the keys off it will either have a switch type thing (mechanical), or a rubber thing (lol it's hard to explain), but it will be like a rubber thing which collapses when you press it- that would be a membrane keyboard. It will likely be membrane unless you've bought one which is really expensive, mechanical keyboards typically cost around $120.

Hey Tim, I left a comment on your site - You have really great information. I had no idea that keyboards were so interesting. I also signed up for updates because I am interested in tech stuff, but I am just learning.

You are really great Tim, I am afraid of breaking it. Have you considered selling these kind of stuff to special groups like seniors? Mine is not that expensive so I think you are right. I will have to get my grandson to take a key off.

Yeah I understand. You can buy keycap removers which make it a lot easier.

I got it on Amazon. Actually I researched all the stores - even walmart. None of the stores near me had it in stock - they would have to order it so I just ordered it from Amazon and got it in less than a week with free shipping. I'm feeling really lucky.
