Hashtags for Businesses
I have done a few different marketing gigs, and when it came to implementing hashtags on Instagram, I noticed a couple common denominators with these small businesses...
1. They don't want to feel like they are spamming their audience (and really; who does).
2. They kept hearing using too many hashtags annoys people away.
3. They didn't even know what hashtags to use.
So I thought I would help out anyone on here who feels the same way. =)
No, of course you don't want to scare people away, but it's a common misunderstanding that hashtags are a hindrance.
It's all about where you put them, and what hashtags you use.
Tip #1. I rarely (If ever) put hashtags in the caption, ESPECIALLY if I am also sharing my Insta post on my FB business page. Put your hashtags in the comment section of the post. That way the hashtags are less noticeable and don't take away from your (amazing) caption! ^_^
Tip #2. Use as many hashtags as you can. The limit is 25-30 hashtags. Since you are putting them in the comment section, as advised above, they won't be a visual hindrance, and it gives you the chance to show up under many different hashtags when people use the search bar.
Tip #3. Make SURE they are relevant! Don't put #outfitoftheday when you are in a home & garden niche. Look up the most effective hashtags by searching on Insta, or Google the best hashtags for your specified audience.
Don't be afraid to keep trying new hashtags. Research is usually your best friend for any niche, so go get 'em! =) ;)
Let me know if you found this helpful, and I will keep writing more social media tips. ^_^
Sincerely,
Kylie

Food for thought. 25-30 does sound like a lot, but why not :)
It definitely is.. If it is on anything else but Insta. =) As long as you post the hashtags in the comment section, it allows you to utilize them and get as much reach as you can with one post, and also less visible. ^_^
Intriguing. Putting this on the list of things to try at an opportune moment :) Thanks!
