Make Editing on your Website a Breeze- Add TinyMCE Advanced Plugin

Have you noticed how limited WordPress toolbox is? As a Premium member of Wealthy Affiliate, you do most of your content creation and editing in your world-class Site Content and so have little or no use for the WordPress toolbox in editing your work.

I found out how bare the WP toolbox is, not too long ago, when I wanted to edit a published material on my website. I had very few editing options. Bold, Italics, listing, inverted commas for direct speech, links. Pretty much that's all I could do. I could not do such basic editing stuff like changing the font or its size.

I was so frustrated that I went back to Site Content and did all my editing on the original article. That was when I found out I cannot re-publish a post from Site Content to my website! Double whammy!

The WordPress Toolbox as it is

You can change the dashboard of your WordPress toolbox by adding many more options that will make editing your posts a breeze. With a couple of clicks, you can add a TinyMCE Advanced plugin. It will add lots of different options like give you a choice of fonts, sizes, a table, print icon, smiley face, strikethru and so on.

TinyMCE Advanced gives you lots of options for your editing needs. With just a few clicks, I have added fonts and font sizes which make it possible for me to change my font and its size if I so desire. I have added a print icon. I can print the article and put it in my folder. I have a table I can use for entries on my post. I also have a time icon that allows me to put time and date on my post

There are many more options you can add to your WP toolbox as you so desire.

How to install TinyMCE Advanced Plugin

Ensure your WordPress is optimized to 54.3 before you install TinyMCE Advanced plugin. Thankfully, Wealthy Affiliate has optimized all sites to 54.3. All you need to do is update it. If your site is not updated, installation of TinyMCE Advanced plugin will not be successful.

After updating your site, take the following steps to install TinyMCE Advanced Plugin:

1 Go to your dashboard. Click on Plugins

2 Click on Add new. Go to Search Plugins and enter TinyMCE Advanced Plugin.

3 Click Install and then Activate

4 Click on TinyMCE Advanced Plugin Setting. It opens up a variety of editing options for you to choose from.

5 Pick editing options and drag them to the top dashboard.
