Let's Be A Little Outrageous

Most of us are not getting the results we expect simply because we are over-cautious. If only we can be a little more outrageous and take more risks in what we do.

Learning by Falling Forward

A little child learns to walk by taking that unsteady step, falling, and taking another unsteady step. When he falls down, he refuses to stay down. He gets up and tries again. The child who stays down because of fear of falling will in all probability not learn to walk until he can muster enough courage to stand up and take that step.

We have become adults and are fearful of falling. We seem to have forgotten that it is only by falling forward that we learn. Every fall that we experience brings us closer to our desired goal/s. The more falls we experience, the closer we get to our desired results because every fall comes with a teachable moment. We should just extricate the lesson it has for us and throw the rest into the sea of forgetfulness while we continue on our online journey.

Unbelief and Fear

Our over-caution and refusal to take risks come out of either our unbelief or fear.

Some of us are yet to be convinced that Affiliate Marketing is the vehicle that will make our dreams come true. We still have a wait-and-see attitude in spite of the tons of testimonies we read every day of the success which can be achieved if implemented with massive efforts. We still have nagging doubts about the efficacy of the system which stops us from fully investing ourselves in it.

“ Yeah, it happened for them, not for me.” A tepid response, at best.

Besides doubts, we also harbor fear. What are we afraid of? We are afraid of failing and being laughed at. But how many of us know that the only way we can fail is if we do not try?

We do not want to pick a niche because we are not sure that would be the right niche for us and so we are still trying to find out what niche our friends have picked before we pick ours. Why don’t you just pick one? If down the road, it does not work, you can go pick a different one. Nothing is cast in stone.

We do not want to write that post because we are afraid we will be criticized. We tend to forget that here in Wealthy Affiliate, everybody is in their own lane.

My Plea

I want to make a plea that we be a little outrageous. By asking us to be outrageous, I am not asking anyone to go swim with the sharks. Nor am I asking you to become a Charles Blondin who tightrope walked across Niagara Falls. Far from it.

I am merely asking that we be bold and a little more assertive in implementing what we have learned because massive efforts bring massive results just as half-hearted efforts bring little or no results.

So,choose to be outrageous!
