Happy Thanksgiving, WA Family!
Tomorrow will be Thanksgiving Day, USA! For me as a Nigerian-American, every day is Thanksgiving day. Every day I wake up, I give thanks to the Almighty for allowing me to see a brand new day. It's not a given.
Thanksgiving this year will lose some of its glamour because of a wrenching global inflation that has raised prices of everyday items above the roof.
Thanksgiving turkey and all the assortments you would need to make your thanksgiving dinner have gone up 20%! Besides, I understand there’s a shortage of turkeys to go round. So do not wait until the last minute before you snatch your Thanksgiving turkey. I know there’s always a hesitancy to do this early for whatever reason.
Are the procrastinators of the opinion there would be a last minute price drop? I wonder.
Not deterred by the hike in prices, my wife and I have invited friends and relatives to our home for a Thanksgiving dinner.
We would not be hosting it on Thursday which is officially Thanksgiving day in the U.S. We would rather hold it on Friday evening. Remi could not get herself excused from duty on Thursday night so we have had to postpone the ceremony to Friday
We are looking forward to feting 25-30 friends and relatives from all over the Bay area, California and beyond.
We hope to serve them scrumptious, home cooked meals of turkey, jollof rice, salad and some Nigerian delicacies. They are truly a gourmet’s delight. We will ensure there’s more than enough so there’s some left for our guests to take home with them.
After ensuring our guests are well-fed, it would be time to dance. Dancing starts from the living room and spills over to the back yard. We play mostly Afro beat songs popularized by such singers as Wizkid, Burna boy, the self-styled African Giant and Davido. The party usually comes to a close at 10pm with the guests living the farthest hurrying to leave, followed by almost everybody else. Grateful for the treat, they say their goodbyes with their food packets firmly clenched in their hands.
I don’t know how you intend to spend your Thanksgiving celebration. It may be vastly different from mine. No matter how you intend to spend it, one thing is important.
Take time out of your busy schedule to thank God for giving you the breath of life. Don’t worry that your affiliate marketing business may not be where you want it to be right now. Just, thank Him because there are hundreds of thousands who would have loved to be in your shoes right now but could not.
Engage in some random acts of kindness
That’s the true spirit of Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving y’all

Thank you for your Thanksgiving wish, Simone. I will surely dig it. I'll try and meet your request, but how do I get it across to you? There will be some logistical challenge! Don't you think so.
Sounds like you will be having an excellent Thanksgiving day! I hope you enjoy it mightily, and extend your gratitude to the universe for all we have.
Thanks, Fran. I am grateful to God for the gift of life. The party is a celebration of life. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
I love what you are doing! Mine is quieter this year. I went to my church today for a service, and then my husband and quite a few other people arrived for a potluck. We had lots of good talk too! On Thanksgiving itself, it will be the two of us and some more great food.
The way we spend Thanksgiving is not important as long as we make gratitude the centerpiece of our celebration. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
Love it, Dada! Even postponing it is much preferable than canceling it altogether!
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!

Giving glory to God is always the best. He blesses each of us daily, sadly some forget that is by His will that we have the blessings we enjoy.
