Hi Cynthia, I assume you are no longer on chat as you never responded. To get rid of the sample-page you need to change the page name in the permalink. Go to pages and edit your about me. At the top of the page under the page name you will see the permalink which will say sample-page just edit this to about-me or whatever else you want to call it. :)
suem, I am so stressed because I am trying to do a sitemap and got a message about my site being html. I downloaded the sitemap file, but now it says i have to upload something to my domain root directory. I have NO idea what that means or how to access it. Any help is so appreciated.
Thanks I'm going to make the change on permalink.

I am not sure what your using for your website, but why not try Wordpress.
Wordpress is the easiest one out there, and it has a lot of plugins for it.
Some free, some not. As for the sitemap I think you upload it in FTP, but
Wordpress most likely has a plugin for it. Hope this helps
