Tennessee Tornato
We were lucky enough to get a big one come through last night. Same tornado started out in Kentucky came on over to Tennessee like he wanted some sweet tea, but must have gotten angry on the way because he was huge and roaring when he passed by our house late last night almost midnight. The hail was hitting so hard I thought the garage had caved in. We are also up on a hill so the center room does not feel near as safe as we should not being in a mobile home or mobile home park alias magnets for tornadoes.
I cannot say it did not scare me because I do not know anyone that enjoys that. At least not personally. It sounds like a train and you just sit there and hope it does not decide to come back on down for a second.
So then I yell "we don't like our tea sweet! He was already gone. He was really moving fast.
In a snap of your fingers you have moved from scared to death too grateful to still be alive and after you watch the news, this time not losing any loved ones or even despised ones, you cannot help but feel for those who did.
I have been a little morbid lately going through my death phase. I remember my father like this around twenty years ago. There have been a birthday and a family funeral to attend last month. Only one of them l was mine. This is my last year in my fifties, I think its normal All of a sudden it is time to start making some decisions so that someone I love dearly will not have to I am not nearly as afraid of death as I am getting maimed. A twister is not the way I want to go out..
On the way to the funeral I was run off the road by someone resembling a mad man. I thought he was going to kill me since he did not get to crash into me.Turns out he thought I took off too fast , from my green light. First time I ever enjoyed someone else getting a ticket.
I did not know my finger was broken for hours because my anxiety level was through the roof .He made me late for the funeral.
Last night was not my first near death experience, not even my fifth. I think my guardian angel is probably exhausted, though I am positive I have one..
When big ole fast Mister Twister came through last night I made another decision, I am gonna hang around here a little longer, most likely as long as I can.

Cynthia,
Good to hear the twister missed you and all is well.
Sharing this is a way to let go of the fear, thank you,
Susan

Seems like Tennessee got hit so hard! I'm glad you are okay, because yes, we do want you to hang around a little longer (in fact a lot longer!).
Did you ever experience a tornado? I remember back in 2009 I was driving down from TN to Alabama and there were tornadoes popping up on both sides.
Not often. There was a bad one when I was a child in Illinois, and I saw one from my office south of Denver about 15 years ago. My husband actually went on a tornado chasing trip across the Midwest - had a pretty exciting time!
