My 6-week update

Has it only been six weeks since I joined Wealth Affiliates? I keep track of my time as a part of my business, and since becoming a member of WA my work load has gone from about 20 hours a month to 60 hours! So I've tripled my input because WA has given me incentive.

When I read the lesson on becoming an ambassador, I looked at my rank (17,000+) and thought, oh no, just to rank in the top 100 is a long way away. But since I've started posting more comments, my rank is quickly creeping up (now it is 16,000+ in just a few days!)

The internet is a maze where I easily get lost. I click on a link and wander around, never getting back to where I started. It is taking a while to figure out where every thing is on WA, is there a flow sheet or some visual where one can see the different links and how to get there? I have missed some important comments and posts from others because I either lose you or catch a glimpse of your post and then cannot find it again. So if you have made a comment and I haven't responded, this is why and I apologize. All I can say is I'm still learning the ropes.

My first goal in joining WA was to see if there was an easier way to promote my books. I recently read a blog from a well-known author, and she posted 47 tools you can use to promote your books! Whew, no wonder I was so overwhelmed. First, I'm not a techie, by choice, and am not interested in learning about all those gadgets. I just want a website that works.

The amazing thing is most of the tools she listed, that she found on her own, are here, right at WA. I stayed away from Wordpress because people said it had a high learning curve, and so my first blog is on blogspot. I was perfectly happy with that until I used Wordpress here at WA. All I need is already done by WA, so I can write instead of tend to the technical stuff.

My niche is women's self defense, but I see this as only a warm up to other websites. There are things I missed building this one, and I plan on starting from lesson #1 with a second website, and improve this one as I go.

My successes certainly are not financial at this point, but I am encouraged by the posts from people who are making money. I realize this will take some time.

Hopefully, within the next six months, I will have figured out how to promote my books and see a return on my investment. If there are any authors out there, I would certainly appreciate any advice on how you set up your platforms for your books through WA.
