Site Icon Matters....How to change the Site Icon?
So I accidentally came across something that I was trying to figure out the other day, that I felt would be very informative. Especially for new members that are not yet familiar with the system.
So a few days ago, I kept looking at the little picture in the tab bar and seeing that it was still on the default wordpress site icon. I spent a couple hours trying to figure out how to change that picture but was unaware on how to word my question to ask on WA.
In my attempts to place in a header picture for the background, I started adding images in the customize section. As I did this, I went into the site identity column, added an image in the site icon and then noticed my little picture in the tab had changed. Voila, I finally figured out how to change the site icon in the google tab.
The basic formula:
Appearance > Customize > Site Identity > Change Site Icon (Add Image) > Save/Publish
By changing the site icon, it will add another professional touch to your site.
I hope this review has been helpful and thanks for reading!!

When visitors go to your site, they will no longer see the word-press icon. Too me, it just doesn't set off an unprofessional sense. I guess it doesn't necessarily improve your site other than in terms of appearance.
Thanks Chris, I've wondered how to do that. I think they are called "favicons". Thanks so much for the formula.

Thank you. I see default Joomla favicons on the web even on professional sites.
