Experimenting with Reddit traffic

Way back when I first joined WA I set up a Reddit account because it was part of the training, and NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH IT, something I regret.
We all need traffic, right? And there are many many ways to go after it, and it does depend a lot on what niche you are working in, but even though I've been at this thing for a while I've not found a use for Reddit.
Reddit is a big social media platform where you can post dicussions, stories, links, and anyone can comment. At bit like a huge bulletin board. You will either love it or hate it.

So anyway I started a new blog recently, just for fun, and over the weekend I did a little Reddit experiment. I posted up two links to my blog, which took me all of 5 minutes, one on Saturday, one on Sunday.
Here are the results. All the traffic on the right came from Reddit. 55 hits in total. Not amazing, but look at it this way. You are writing the blog posts anyway, so a couple extra minutes to post it on Reddit in the appropriate group can pay off.
The key is finding the right group, and become a part of it. Start posting and engaging. The group I posted in has over 2000 members, so that's a lot of exposure.
One other thing. It's too soon to quit.
