Simply go to your WA Profile >>> Account Settings >>> General Settings >>> Username --- can only change it ONCE ... then save ...
Suggest consider very thoroughly the change you want to make as you can only do it One Time .... and then it'll stick ....

You can only change it once and you're limited to 12 characters. To change it, click on your profile image in the upper-left and select Account Settings.
Once there, click the edit button next to your username and make your changes.
