Covid-19

So, I just wanted to reach out to see what people from all over the world are doing with their downtime during this pandemic.

I'm a proud father of three amazing boys but I tell ya, this has been quite the challenge. COVID-19 appears to be spreading all over Ontario and increasing more and more everyday.

Unfortunately, there's a dilemma.

People are still not doing enough to stop the spread. I don't get it! I go without seeing my mother who is at a higher risk due to her age, who is currently sick and says she has a tightness in her chest! I'm afraid to contaminate her or spread a sickness to her that could make her health worse. I stand my 2m away outside to see her and blow her a kiss before she leaves. It sucks! Yet people are still throwing parties, spreading the sickness, not caring about what others go through grieving the loss of friends and family! Isolation is taking place in all parts of the world. Why is this taking so long to set in for some people here?

How many people have to die before we sit back and think "Wow... If only we just didn't do anything for a few weeks, all of this could have been different", all of this can be avoided!

It's up to us! Let's come together!

We, as a society, a community - - a family, need to come together and make sacrifices now to save ourselves and each other. Before the population starts to thin out! We can drag this out for years, letting our Canadian economy fall to the ground, and take us decades to recover, paying higher taxes, higher rates for everything in the future or we can get this right now! What kind of a future are we leaving for our kids!

There are numerous articles online that give good measures we all should be taking. If you can, wear a mask in public places to protect yourself and each other by not spreading our germs, actually hell, wear anything over your mouths! It stops your breath from travelling further distances. Even just your shirt, anything will do - just don't touch your face! Wash your hands before and after putting it on and taking it off. Let's start this now..

I'm only going to give this only two days to circulate because we dont want to waste anymore time and not people dying. Let's give it a spin.

Rules...

Starting April 10th until April 24th Lets call it "Isolation week's" . You have the next two days to get prepared... From april 10-24, I want to see if we can keep our cars off the street completely or as much as possible. Nobody travel unless its absolutely necessary. If you need to go out for food, then go, but the rule remains that your face must be covered by anything!

In the meantime...

Start a hobby at home! Pick up a course, learn from free resources online. There's many things you deserve for working long hours, possibly at minimum weige. Why not start your own online business like I have. If I'm not spending time with my kids or tucking them in bed at night, I'm learning to build my online business with Wealthy Affiliate. Check it out! So far I have two sites up and running.

Don't be surprised if you see this article on both sites! Just trying to spread the news to get more people on board with participating in the 14-day isolation... Spread the news !!!

And don't forget to let us know how your spending your time in isolation!

Stay safe and cover up!!

Very valid points, Dave--In the midwest town I live in, people seem too casual about this!

Jeff

For sure.. We still see a lot of people here continuing on everyday life as of nothing has changed. It's sad really

It is, because it's prolonging all this misery!

Jeff

Not going to lie, I went to go buy groceries yesterday for my parents and their elderly neighbors next door and didn’t have a mask on.... but I felt really bad about it! 😅 I was one of the few who didn’t have one on in the store! I do have one that’s being shipped to me hopefully this Saturday. 🤞🏻

I agree with your post though. It’s a good reminder to not “ease up” too fast.

There is a lot of reckless behaviour out there and folks need to realise that this is an unlucky lottery - there's no telling who will get this thing mild or who will end up on a ventilator.

I'm currently recovering from covid with my dad and bro. But my mum has it the worst due to her heart condition, so she's in and out the hospital at the moment with her symptoms. We are all 15 days into it with fingers crossed for mum, since her recovery time can be up to 6 weeks (providing things go well). So don't want to tempt fate.

But in the mean time, I'm keeping busy with online Biz.

My prayers are with you and your family. God bless and I wish you all a speedy recovery.

Cheers man! I forgot to say the same with your mum too.

The tight chest seems to be a symptom, but don't automatically assume the worst because many people are recovering. But just keep an eye on your mum's condition daily.

Thank you Sir, much appreciated. God bless
