WA Gogetters Are Off and Running!

Today Bo’s new mentoring group we call the WAGogetters had their first webinar where Bo outlined his goals and what he has planned for the group. Our assignment for today is to write a blog post detailing what really spoke to us in this webinar.

A Mentor's Heart

My number one observation for today is, Bo has a giant heart. His desire to help, not only us in the group, but also the members of Wealthy Affiliate to succeed is huge. He really has a discipleship mindset and it shows. So, I just had to get that out of the way first as I am very grateful to be invited into this group. It was only supposed to be a group of five but we are starting out with sixteen so I am extremely thankful for Bo’s willingness to take on a bunch of marketing newbies.

His vision for the group is to see each of us making at least $1,000 per month on a consistent basis within a years time, if not sooner. Bo also is hoping that some of us will then pick up the mantle and decide to find others to mentor just as he is mentoring us.

Value, Consistency and Focus

Our bogs will not contain just content for the sake of having content but, they will have value for our readers. Without some value there is no reason for our readers to return. Bo will guide us through the process of how to do this. We will have homework daily that needs to be completed.

The key to success is consistency and from now on we will be treating this as a job. We will be setting a schedule and structure our week for devoting 20 hours strictly to our websites. Self discipline can be tough working from home instead of going to an office 9-5 every day. Working at home has distractions that we need to avoid in order to stay focused.

The Formula For Writing Good Content

Our bogs will not contain just content for the sake of having content but, they will have value for our readers. Without value there is no reason for our readers to return

The biggest take-a-away today was Bo’s formula for writing good content.

1. When composing a post we must first, state what the problem is before we address it.
2. State the solution.
3. Tell our readers the benefit they will get from the solution.
4. Tell them what we want them to do or "Call To Action"

My mind is already going over my previous posts as to how they line up with this formula and in all honesty I know most, if not all fall short of adhering to this formula. I do have some value but I also have a lot of fluff

Excitement and Anticipation As We Look Ahead

The remainder of the webinar was going over procedures on how we will communicate and receive files and assignment, etc. Also a brief outline of some things we will be learning. We will be building an email list that will be critical for success.

Bo really spoke from his heart today and the passion he has for this project was very contagious within the group. It was an excitement that I could feel each member present was overflowing with. Everyone is pumped and ready to rock this and I’m sure members of WA not in the group will be learning tons from reading our blog posts as we move through this program.

Summary

In summary, we learned that Time, Consistency and Focus along with Value will be the critical elements of our success or our failure. This is our new part-time job for however long it takes. We have our group of sixteen all chomping at the bit and ready to rock this so stay tuned for more posts from the group.

Oh yeah, Bo also said content length is critical as well. We are not writing books and our readers want short, to the point posts and will quickly get bored with long posts so on that note I'll quit before this chapter turns into a book.
