I've Been A.W.O.L
Have You Seen This Guy?
This post is meant to fulfill two purposes in one post. I try to be efficient (insert smiley face here).
Purpose number one is to explain why I have been so quiet in WA for the last month or six weeks.
The second reason is because I follow Botipton on Facebook and he issued us a challenge today to do one thing that we have been putting off. I’ve been thinking that I need to do a post here for a week or so and have been putting it off so today I will do it.
The Person You Are Trying To Reach is Unavailable At This Time
Since joining Bo’s mentoring group a few months ago Bo has kept us all pretty busy. I suppose I should correct myself and say that Bo has encouraged us to all stay very busy as he has been giving us certain tasks to do that will help us learn and grow our business. From reading books to being active on social media the learning never stops.
I have never been much of a social media person so there is quite a bit to learn just in that one area, at least for me. I have also spent a lot of time leaving comments on other websites and pouring over my competitor’s blogs and websites. Bo has put up a ton of teaching videos on YouTube for our learning pleasure. So you see I’ve been really really busy.
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.
We are also attempting to stay on a schedule of working at least four hours a day on our blogs. This includes social media, commenting, researching and writing. I have to admit that it is difficult to avoid distractions and try to stick to a schedule. I suppose that is the main drawback to working from home, being able to avoid distractions. Some days I’m good and others it seems that everything is a distraction.
Some things can’t be avoided like yesterday my daughter called and her car had broke down. So, there went a good portion of my day getting her car to the shop, taking her to places she needed to get to and picking up grandkids from various places. Not that I’m complaining as I am happy that I am available to help out in times like that, but it shoots a schedule all to you know where.
I’ve also been slacking on the Wealthy Affiliate training lately but have taken a solemn vow to get back into that aspect and to at least work on one lesson a night for 30 minutes.
They Say Confession is Good for The Soul
So, I guess you can say this post has three purposes. Take up Bo’s challenge and do something I have been putting off. Knock out a blog post and confess to everyone that I have been a bad boy. I’ll take my penance and with a brand-new day coming to start over again, vow to do better in the future. Guess time will tell how well I do with that.
Who remembers when they were a kid going into that confessional booth at church? Back then that was the scariest place I ever had to go. Maybe because I had a lot to confess hehe. Sure gonna try not to be such a stranger here in the future.
Excuses are just like noses, everybody’s got one! Am I making excuses? Nah, just telling y’all how busy and productive I’ve been recently. 😉
See Y'all next week!
PS: At least my blog traffic is on the rise.

Craig,
I still laughing. I enjoyed your post. I like the humor you used and the pictures. I know what you mean by being busy. It does take a lot of work to be successful and I know we are all up for the challenge. I took Bo up on the challenge too, but my thing I had been putting off was not work related. It was something around the house that needed done. Good news is, I did it!

Craig, I loved this post!
We all get busy, distracted and off our pace from time to time. What are the choices when that happens?
1-Give up and say it is just too much- be defeated
2- Continue, procrastinate and stay in the rut
3- Be mindful and aware (confess), be responsible and dig in again.
There may be other choices, of course. I love how you took door #3, with such a great sense of humor and self-deprecation!
That sets a good standard for me, when I fall away. Thank you!
Annie
Hi Craig, since you say confession is good for the soul, I'll tell you that bottom picture in this post is kind of scary! LOL! Just kidding, my friend.
Congratulations on your increase in blog traffic. It's proof that all this work is worth it.
All the best,
Sue

Welcome back, Craig...you were missed, but I get it...life happens...all the times...and it is how we choose to react to it! Glad you are ok and easing your way back in 'stuff'. Have a great week,
