My take on the difference behind the "why" and the "how" of what you are doing

So, often when I'm talking with people about projects and opportunities, the first question is "how".

What I prefer to discuss first is the "why". Why are you doing what you are doing, or why are you starting on this project or opportunity.

The "how" comes later, and is defined by your "why".

So the "why" question is about your goals. Maybe to afford a house cleaner, contribute to your mortgage, earn enough to stay at home with your kids, have a side income for a yearly vacation?

I think that most of us here know that there are no real overnight get rich quick business, except for the people selling it to you.

After the "why", comes belief. Do you believe in what you are doing, what business you are backing, and the people involved in it?

If you have strong belief, then any obstacle never determines your results.

Actions determine your results, and shows your belief. It's how you deal with these obstacles that show the truth in what we believe. No obstacle is insurmountable, just a challenge to overcome.

Your actions are determined by your belief, and your "why".

It's just the same if you believe in a building elevator. If you believe in it, you'll take it. If you don't, you'll decide to walk up the stairs.

I recognise that trust and belief is earned. Your bullet-proof belief and understanding of the "why" is a recipe for success. Plus, use your mentors, leaders and contacts. Each and everyone one of them will have something to add to your business and personal learning.

My "why" for posting this blog.... simply that it is something that I learnt and felt it a good idea to pay forward.
